横山大観記念館事務局が近代日本画の巨匠、横山大観の邸宅をバーチャル空間で再現した「横山大観記念館VR美術館」のWEBサイトやVR空間制作、YouTube配信までのディレクションを行いました。
横山大観記念館VR美術館は、2025年開催予定の日本国際博覧会（略称「大阪・関西万博」）に向けて、令和3年度文化庁の「博物館等の国際交流の促進事業委託業務（実施事業）」受託事業として、「東西文化財を活用した博物館の国際交流の促進事業」を目的に制作し公開しています。
上野池之端に佇む横山大観邸。近代日本画の巨匠、横山大観のアトリエ兼住居としていた邸宅の客間や画室などWEBサイト上で360度から鑑賞できるバーチャル空間制作のほか、邸宅内や名画など解説付きの鑑賞が可能であり、実際の作品に関するクイズコンテンツをご用意。
さらに、邸宅内8ヵ所に潜む「隠れ大観」を発見しクリックすると、横山大観の特別なエピソードやお得な情報が得られる仕掛けづくりを提供しました。
また、横山大観記念館VR美術館の公開と同時に開設されたYouTube公式チャンネルでは、東西文化財を活用した博物館の国際交流の促進事業で実施した「クロード・モネと横山大観シンポジウム」の動画配信も担当しています。

The Yokoyama Taikan Memorial Hall Office directed the creation of the “Yokoyama Taikan Memorial Hall VR Museum”, a virtual space that recreates the residence of Yokoyama Taikan, a master of modern Japanese painting. In this project, we were in charge of website production, VR space production, and YouTube distribution.
The Yokoyama Taikan Memorial Hall VR Art Museum was created and was open to the public for the purpose of “promoting international interaction at museums by utilizing East and West cultural assets”.
This project was commissioned by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2021 under the “Promotion of international exchange at cultural institutions” which was launched towards the Japan International Exposition in 2025 (“Osaka-Kansai Expo”).
Yokoyama Taikan’s residence is located at Ueno Ikenohata. On the website, visitors can virtually experience the guest room and painting room that Taikan used as his studio and residence. In addition, visitors can view the house and masterpieces from a 360-degree angle, enjoying commentary and quiz content on the actual works.
Visitors can also discover and click on the “Yokoyama Taikan icon” hidden in eight locations in the residence, which will lead them to special episodes and special information about Yokoyama Taikan.
Besides VR museum, we were in charge of video distribution on the official YouTube channel, which was established at the same time as the Yokoyama Taikan Memorial Hall VR Museum was opened. Viewers can enjoy videos of the “Symposium on Claude Monet and Yokoyama Taikan”.
